Comic Ghost Rider From Comic Books To The Silver Screen

Comic Ghost Rider From Comic Books To The Silver Screen

The comic ghost rider is one of giant Marvel Comics’ most successful franchises. Since its release, the comic book has already spawned several hundred issues, different spin offs, and generations of loyal fans. It was only a matter of time when its success would attract the eyes of Hollywood movie producers and make a silver screen debut.

The comic ghost rider is just one of several Marvel comic classics to transition from page to film. Classics such as Spiderman, X-men, and the Fantastic Four have already hit the movie theaters successfully and already made enough impact to warrant sequels. Fan favorites such as the Incredible Hulk and Iron Man have also made significant box office hits. Other classics such as Thor and The Punisher also have adaptations in the works.

A very noticeable similarity behind these successful comic to movie adaptations are compelling story lines. The comic ghost rider has a very intricate and deep story with elements of action, horror, and the occult in just the right amounts to attract an enduring fan base. The advanced special effects movie makers are now capable of also add icing to the cake making scenes and visuals that were only possible in comic books a few years ago come alive in the big screen.

The comic ghost rider weaves a story around a reluctant motorcycle stuntman by the name of Johnny Blaze who strikes a deal with the devil so he can become the best in his craft. A few years of success later the devil comes back to ask for payment in the form of service: Johnny is now given the role and abilities of a ghost rider the devils collector of damned souls. Instead of accepting fate Blaze decides to go against the devil and begins to use his abilities to exact vengeance on evil elements of society.

Aside from the entertaining and exciting story line the comic ghost rider also does not disappoint in the creative’s department. When Blaze turns into the ghost rider, he becomes a skeleton garbed in biker clothes with a flaming skull head. As if the ghost rider isn’t intimidating enough, he also has a monstrous motorcycle with burning wheels as his ride. The ghost rider also has a chain as his primary weapon which usually seems like it has a mind of its own and can often extend far beyond what it looks like it could.

The movie adaptation features A-list celebrities such as Nicholas Cage, Eva Mendez, and Wes Bentley. The movie promises to be a motion picture spectacle of action and special effects which makes it a definite must see movie. Fans are definitely going to be satisfied with the motion picture release and surely a follow up of comic book spin offs would just be around the corner.

The comic ghost rider is a perfect example of one of the greatest past times the world ever had, comic books have persisted for so many generations and just like technology they grow more sophisticated and addictive as time goes by.

Silver Sandal Pendants

Silver Sandal Pendants

Imagine if you will for a moment in the gloom and doom that generally accompany a winter day spent at home. The sky is gray. The ground, covered with snow, has lost its luster and is also gray. Everyone around is lamenting the snow, and their moods are gray. All in all, winter can be a very gray, dull time. So how can you spice up your mood and propel your way through winter with a smile?

Now imagine for a moment that it was summertime all year-round. The birds in the trees. The flowers blooming bright. The waves crashing on the beach as you dance barefoot through the sand in the moonlight. While there is no way that you can be certain to make the sun’s hot rays shine all year round you can carry a reminder of those precious hours of freedom spent enjoying the heat and the atmosphere of the beach with you all throughout the winter with a silver sandal pendant.

Imagine walking around through the whole of the winter with a flip-flop hanging from a rope around your neck. Probably not the fashion statement you were going for in order to impress your boss, right? (If it was, make sure that you never quit that job. You will never find a boss that cool again.) Even though a flip-flop or a sandal immediately brings back all of the happy feelings you had when you were enjoying fun in the sun throughout the months of July and August it is generally considered rather tacky to carry a shoe around with you any place other than on your foot. Modern jewelers have changed this. They have created the type of sandal that was designed to be worn around your neck, so that when you find yourself stuck in the middle of the winter doldrums with no chance of escape you can touch your necklace, turn your thoughts inward and find the strength to get through until this hideous season is over and you can once again find happiness in the simple things in life; a smooth seashell, a colorful fish or that summer tan that will make you look and feel as though you just spent a holiday in the Bahamas.

Be careful! Wearing a sandal pendant does not mean that you are pining away for summer (even though you probably are), nor does it only represent the fact that you have an “X” slashed through each day and the little Christmas countdown clock counting down the days until Memorial Day when the pool opens up. Wearing a sandal pendant says a lot about your personality. It says, “I will not be a slave to conventional fashion. I will go my own way. I will find satisfaction in every aspect of my appearance, right down to something as small as my necklace” and, perhaps most importantly, a sandal pendant declares to the entire rest of the world slogging through dreary winter weather, “You can take the girl out of the beach but you can’t take the beach out of the girl.”

Spirituality Information – John Harricharan’s Interview With Yanik Silver (Q5)

Spirituality Information – John Harricharan’s Interview With Yanik Silver (Q5)

Yanik Silver: And then the other thing that you mentioned about the giving and to me that comes back to the stealing of — there is people who look at scarcity. There is scarcity minded people and then there is abundant minded people. And I am not saying that that every relationship in every dealing I have I am always trying to think abundantly. I tried to have that in the forefront of my mind. But I know some people when there are — for instance I lost the friend of mine because I started putting on my own seminar.

He thought that he should be the only one that puts on seminars in this particular marketplace and which is crazy and everyone is out to get him. And it’s because of his scarcity mindset and his business keeps slowing down and keeps getting smaller. And for me the abundance mindset is hopefully, that if I can give more-and-more as far as even the charitable contribution then I will get back more-and-more in return just from the natural law of money.

John Harricharan: It is a natural law. It is a law, which is very difficult one for us to accept. Infact I have told you about my old friend Foster Hibbard, who was an associate of Napoleon Hill.

Yanik Silver: Right.

John Harricharan: And he believed as so much in that and lived it in his life and proved it. And when we give, we get we cannot help ourselves. The universe is a giving universe. You give us seed if you’ve got. If you’ve got seed grain and you are starving or you know, that this is only seed you’ve got to make flower to do something with. And you’re thinking, well I am going to eat a little today and a little tomorrow. If you take the seed grain and you give it away to the ground and you make sure it’s watered properly. After a while you will have so much grain that you can make all the bread you want. And so you are naturally fulfilling the law of giving and receiving in every ancient text, it talks about it. But it’s not in — it’s not an intuitive law because we feel that if we give we will have less.

Yanik Silver: Right.

John Harricharan: I have and I give away 6. Well, then I only have 4 and only is a more deadly disease because its called, you know, we can all die of onlyness because we never can give — out give the universe that’s the law. Now, my example is clear that there are friends of mine who said “John, you could be multi-multi millionaire within a few months if you want to” Why don’t you do that? And I say, I, yeah I would like to but I find what I am doing more interesting…

I would like to just make a few 0,000 a year, live comfortably and write some books and talk to people and maybe do nothing. I just want to have the choice to do nothing, if I want to. Or maybe going in other trip or do just bloody, well, whatever I want to do compared to the early days. It’s my choice how much is enough? I don’t know, but take for example, this year we’ll be doing a few things, which will create a little bit more affluence.

Do I want to make that a thousand times more? No, no. Am I not going to leave stuff for my kids, you know what? Let them earn their own. No, of course I will help them a little, but it’s just like that, but you are fulfilling the need of all the people. You are giving and this friend that you lost, by feeling that he should be doing this. Now, if that happened, he wasn’t a real friend in the first place. And this is not a competitive universe…

This is actually a co-operative universe, because if you put your minds together you have a mind that’s larger, you know the mastermind principle. That’s larger than the two combined actually Napoleon Hill told Foster Hibbard that if you put two together you don’t have one and one plus two, you’ve got two times two times two, it cubes itself. So you have the force of about eight people and if you put three together it’s like 27 and so it goes four people together have the force of about six to four.

So the mastermind principle works. So if a friend wanted to do what you are doing and you’re joined together instead of having problems with doing it together, it will be better for everybody. It’s what I call the Alice in Wonderland syndrome, which I love, it says All have won and so all must receive prices.

Silver Spoon Recognition

Silver Spoon Recognition

Toby Miller is your picture of an all round good guy. He doesn’t even consider himself to be much of a star but he does enjoy going to work and he enjoys mixing with his co-workers, making sure that they all smile at least once a day. Of course he does what’s necessary to get results but, under normal circumstances, he usually slips under the recognition awards radar that sweeps through the department once a month.

Many reward and recognition systems have incorporated a “wooden spoon” award in the past. The purpose of this was to highlight poor performance in the mistaken belief that it would, somehow, act as a deterrent to people. They were supposed to look upon the wooden spoon as a shameful emblem that they would want to avoid at any cost. Unfortunately this overlooks the deep psychological reasoning for poor performance in the workplace.

Some people live troubled lives. They find it difficult to excel at anything they do. This does not prevent them from wishing that the limelight would fall on them occasionally. They discover that they can get the attention that they crave by underperforming. Many management hours around the world are spent chastising people for poor performance and attempting to get them to raise their game.

The “wooden spoon” actually acts as a spotlight for these people. It is a mechanism that they can manipulate by doing their job badly. In one company they would award “pig of the week” to the messiest and most disorganized worker in the team. The award was a small stuffed pig that people would place in a prominent position on their desk. The result of the “pig of the week” award was that an informal competition began in the office. Rather than an embarrassment, “pig of the week” became a cult award that everyone wanted to win and so, rather than raise the level of tidiness and organization in the office; it actually increased the chaos in which people worked.

A much more constructive award is the “Silver Spoon Award”. It is designed to encourage people who may not yet be the best role-models in the company and whose performance may actually be well below what is considered excellent but who nevertheless deserve some sort of recognition for the work they have put in, for their attitude to the job, for their ability to motivate their colleagues or just for their ability to make people laugh and enjoy being at work. In a way the “Silver Spoon Award” is designed to capture the “Most Improved” and the “Best Fun” categories.

The award itself can be imaginary or virtual but, equally, a simple silver teaspoon mounted on a hardwood block which is passed from person to person at the beginning of each award period adds a touch of tangibility to winning.

Under the new award system, Toby Miller’s sense of humor can be recognized without denying others the accolade for best salesman, most creative designer, most efficient assembler.

Spirituality Information – John Harricharan’s Interview With Yanik Silver (Q8)

Spirituality Information – John Harricharan’s Interview With Yanik Silver (Q8)

Yanik Silver: All right very good. I got one last question maybe two. “How about achieving balance between these three subjects that we’ve been talking about mind, body, spirit, money, health, relationships what are some of your thoughts on that, this is obviously if one is out of whack then our entire lives become out of whack if we’re only focused on money then relationships might suffer and health suffers and you’ve seen that I’m sure and it’s…

John Harricharan: Yeah.

Yanik Silver: It’s not good.

John Harricharan: Yes. The three problems are like the three — the equal three sides of a triangle, an isosceles triangle. And if you pull one side the other sides will change. And so the most important thing is instead of saying there are only three problems money, health and relationship. I could redefine that to say there is only one problem, the problem of balance. And the way we keep that going is by being grounded in some habits.

For example, we talked about their habit of being grateful. If we start — that if we do that even through our worse moments during the day but at least once a day and this is habit I’ve had for years. Yeah, when I put it away things didn’t look that good when I remember to do it they started looking differently. And you start feeling grateful and you start feeling more alive. It’s a feeling. It’s our feeling. We can make ourselves feel whatever way we want by thinking ourselves into it. And that’s not a pollayany thing.

I can think myself into being scared of something or being excited about. We all have that ability to do it. So what I would say to maintain balance is we’ve got a work with these principals of slowing down the conversation, speeding, getting sources of inspiration, which is a whole big lecture I gave once about how you do that, and staying inspired, enthusiastic, and grateful all the time. And then, nothing, no thing will ever be able to touch you.

Yanik Silver: Okay. Very good. John, are you still there.

John Harricharan: Yeah.

Yanik Silver: Okay.

John Harricharan: Yeah.

Yanik Silver: Last question in for you. We talked about hitting rock bottom. Do you feel like people have to go this — to the rock bottom, to the deep dark levels before they can appreciate all that things that they didn’t have before. And they can get it back or is there someway that we can learn from others that that have gone there before us?

John Harricharan: Yes. Yeah. No, we don’t have to go there. Actually, we don’t even have to get anywhere near there. The only reason that I did I’ve also been this kid who grew up testing boundaries and being creative with how I did things and going to the edge of things. I’m the guy who was almost gaud by whilde buffalos in Africa almost ran over by elephants in India, almost attacked by gorillas in another part of Africa.

Lot of things like that almost got blown up in planes and almost held the captive by a native tribe. Yes, stuff like that happened to me. And it’s like I pushed the window because I might have wanted to make things a little bit more exciting or maybe I was just foolish. I didn’t have to lose everything. I could have kept it, but there is some part of me made me do that. And I think we learned from the others and what they have done.

Now, if I were to look at it again, I’d say, you know, I don’t want to do in that way. That was not very creative. And I could have learnt it in some other ways. And this is what you — when you mention can we learn this from others, we could. We could look at them and say, “You know, I learned the good things they did and things that didn’t work and I’m going to use the good parts and put together a conglomeration of ourselves based on the goodness or the things that work in other people. But keeping in mind this caveat something’s work for some people and some don’t except the universal things.”

Yanik Silver: That’s very good. I think that’s probably a good way to end it.

John Harricharan: Well, thank you. Thank you. I could talk with you forever because it’s always so good my friend.

Yanik Silver: Yeah, it’s wonderful, catching up with you a little bit and thank you so much for sharing some of these distinctions, and some of your unique perspectives on this.

Handcrafted Silver Jewelry: The Plus-Size Woman’s Dream

Handcrafted Silver Jewelry: The Plus-Size Woman’s Dream

There’s little argument that we live in a world designed for our thinner sisters. Those of us who are more bountiful can often feel as though we’re on the outside looking in – especially when it comes to fashion accessories. Sure, we can buy accessories like barrettes and earrings, but when it comes to pendants on chains, bracelets, and rings, we’re often out of luck. The chains simply aren’t long enough, the bracelets are too tight, and the rings simply aren’t big enough. That’s why it’s a godsend to find handcrafted silver jewelry made by artisans who care enough to create lovely pieces that “fit” plus-size women.

Silver Chains

The challenges we face in the world of fashion accessories are often a matter of chain length. Whether for necklaces, bracelets, or anklets, the answer is to find chains that are custom-sized for any length. Thanks to the Internet, custom-length chains are only a few clicks away.

When you’re shopping for silver chains, look for a source that offers dozens of different kinds of chain. You’ll then have the same kind of selection that average-sized women have. Perhaps you like box, rope, or bar and link chain; maybe you like the elegant sophistication of herringbone or the more substantial Byzantine or Madeira styles. The bottom line is that you should have access to a wide variety of choices that are .925 sterling silver and that are priced by the inch.

Clasps and Fasteners

The telltale signs of quality bracelets and necklaces are the clasps and fasteners. When jewelry is assembled commercially, the fasteners are literally the weak links; all too often, they simply come apart and cause you to lose your chain. High quality handcrafted silver jewelry, on the other hand, has caps that are soldered on and jump rings that are soldered closed so that the ring connecting the clasp to the chain can’t open.

Rings to be Treasured

Gemstone rings are wonderful fashion accessories, but they also make great gifts. While there are traditional birthstones for every month (January – garnet; February – amethyst; March – bloodstone or aquamarine; April – diamond; May – emerald; June – pearl or moonstone; July – ruby; August – sardonyx or peridot; September – sapphire or lapis lazuli; October – opal or pink tourmaline; November – topaz or citrine; December – turquoise, zircon, or tanzanite), there are also astrological birthstones based on a Zodiac sign’s ruling planet.

You know that you’ve found a reputable establishment when it’s upfront about whether or not its gemstones have been enhanced. If a stone is not naturally mined, its description should indicate that it has, for example, been heated or irradiated (an accepted practice, since some stone colors – like ruby and sapphire – rarely occur in nature). Similarly, it should be noted if a stone is reconstituted from powder or stabilized using liquid acrylic. Again, the jewelry industry approves of these methods, but they should still be disclosed.

Final Tip: Bigger May be Better

As plus-size women, we have the luxury of being able to wear larger pieces of handcrafted silver jewelry. Don’t be afraid to opt for wider chains, larger earrings, or bigger gemstones. We can pull it off – beautifully!

Stainless Steel or Sterling Silver, Which Flatware do you prefer?

Stainless Steel or Sterling Silver, Which Flatware do you prefer?

When it comes to buying flatware for your home, there are several choices that you can make. Certainly, the most popular kinds of flatware that many people prefer is that made from stainless steel or from sterling silver. In this article, we take a look at the difference between stainless steel flatware and sterling silver flatware, along with how to care for it.

However, when it comes to buying such flatware there is one major difference you will notice almost immediately between both stainless steel and sterling silver, and that is the price. In many cases, stainless steel flatware is somewhat less expensive than its sterling silver counterpart. But let us first take a look at what these two types of flatware are made from.

Stainless steel flatware is made up of several different types of composite steel, the main ones being chromium and nickel. It is the nickel in this kind of flatware, which helps to provide resistance against the metal becoming corroded. The best type of flatware you can purchase for your home made from these metals is one that has 18% chromium and 10% nickel in its makeup.

As for sterling silver, flatware as mentioned previously this is more expensive to purchase than its stainless steel counterpart. But where the above mentioned is made up of composite steel materials, this particular kind of flatware contains more than 90% (92.5%) pure silver and 7.5% of other metals. In most cases, the additional metal used to make such flatware is copper.

What is important however is that when shopping for any new kind of flatware for your home that you take your time over choosing which product it is you want? If you can and are able to when buying it, take the item out of its packaging prior to purchase. This enables you to feel how it sits in your hand and if it is, has the right balance of weight in the handle.

Also, as you look at the products also look at the packaging in which the product is presented. Look at the other information provided on the package a good quality flatware product will show that it meets acceptable standards of manufacture both at home and abroad.

When it comes to caring for your flatware there are a number of different products available to ensure that it remains in the best condition possible. Certainly, for stainless steel ones al you need is a good quality cleanser, which can be purchased at your local hardware store or grocery store.

But as well as their being good quality cleaners for stainless steel flatware today you can also get good quality cleaners for sterling silver flatware as well. But these products have been specifically developed in order to help the silver retain its condition, they work to remove sulfur without actually causing any damage or making it warp. One of the easiest ways of ensuring that it stays in tiptop condition is by getting some baking soda (dry) and then rub it on to the metal with your fingers.

All about Silver Baltic Amber Pendants

All about Silver Baltic Amber Pendants

The ageless beauty of a Silver Baltic Amber Pendant, timeless in the sense of fashion, as for centuries artisans have utilized Baltic Amber in jewelry, highly prized for its clarity and its ease to be able to fashion it into timeless pieces.

The Baltic Amber, such as what is in your Sliver Baltic Amber Pendant, is around the age range of 30 to 90 million years old. Although it is often classified as a gem, with a hardness rating on the Mohs’s scale of a 2-2.5, it is actually a fossilized tree resin and this accounts for the varying ranges of colors within the amber, but the majority of Baltic Amber come from pine tree resins, often prized because of the inclusions of insects contained in the resin, although this can be rare.

90% of the world’s extractable amber is located in the Kaliningrad region of Russia along the Baltic Sea, where raw Amber is simply cast up from the sea floor by the waves and then collected at the ebb tide. True Amber is only slightly denser then salt water and was often caught in nets along the Baltic shore.

There are about 250 varying shades and colors in Baltic amber. The most common range from transparent honey yellow through warm orange, but also red on up to brown, so when choosing your Silver Baltic Amber Pendant you will have a variety of colors to choose from. All Amber is highly valued and it is just a matter of personal preference as to your taste in color, shape, and design, when choosing your Silver Baltic Amber pendant.

It is difficult to make sure that you are buying a real Silver Baltic Amber Pendant and not counterfeit amber pendant. There are several tests that one could do to determine if amber is genuine although in the case of finished jewelry it is not recommended, as it would damage the piece. The majority of tests involve heat and the use of salt water but this is usually only done with raw amber. It is sad but there are a lot of counterfeit Baltic Amber silver pendants on the market and using price as a gauge is of no use in most cases. Purchasing your Silver Baltic Amber Pendant from a reputable jeweler or dealer will ensure that your piece is genuine.

Caring for your Silver Baltic Amber Pendant properly will assure that you are able to enjoy your beautiful piece for many years to come. Amber in general can change as time goes on, if exposed to the elements and common chemicals. To help stabilize its color and finish, Amber is often coated with a protective resin when used in jewelry. You will still want to take precautions with your piece.

Your Silver Baltic Amber pendant should not be stored or displayed in direct sunlight, this can over time change its color. It is also a good idea not to expose it to chemicals such as hairspray and perfumes as this can dull the finish and eventually damage your pendant. When storing your Silver Baltic Amber pendant, keep in mind that other pieces of jewelry with sharp edges can scratch and ding the Amber. Putting it into a separate area of your jewelry box or inside a pouch will help protect it. If you need to clean your piece, simply use a soft jewelry cloth.

There is nothing like the warm glow of a beautiful Silver Baltic Amber Pendant as an addition to your jewelry wardrobe. If you use care and precaution, your piece will last a lifetime.

Phantom Silver Honors Silver Ghosts

Phantom Silver Honors Silver Ghosts

In regard to the formation of the world’s first true luxury automaker, Rolls-Royce, who received top billing, the businessman or the designer? Businessman Charles Rolls came first with second billing going to engineer Henry Royce. Charles and Henry agreed that Rolls’ company would exclusively sell all vehicles made by Royce.

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars made its official debut in 1904 at the Paris Salon. Perhaps “Royce-Rolls” sounded too much like a pun or a criticism than an appropriate nomenclature for a fledgling car manufacturer. Shortly thereafter Royce-designed vehicles were ruling the roadways.

The first Rolls-Royce made was a 10-horsepower, two-cylinder vehicle with a top speed of 39 mph. By 1906 the automaker had a vehicle with three chassis styles and six-cylinder inline engines capable of exceeding 50 mph. The first R-R with an enclosed backseat, the Pullman by Barker, also was introduced at that time. Rolls-Royce elevated its status to a producer of elite vehicles with the Silver Ghost in 1907.

It was the first reliable and smooth riding manufactured. It set a world record for a non-stop motor run, traveling an astonishing 14,371 miles.
The most popular body types of the most elite car of the era were the enclosed Barker cabriolet, the Barker Tourer, the Hooper-Landaulet, and the London-Edinburg.

The fabled vehicle first gained notoriety when it was entered into the 1907 Scottish Reliability Run, winning the gold medal in its class for hill climbing and reliability. Silver Ghosts were manufactured from 1907 to 1925. It is astonishing that the majority of the 6,000 Silver Ghosts built still run well today. Aside from Rolls Royce, how many automakers today would dare say their cars could be driven 100 years from now?

Rolls-Royce has produced 25 Phantom Silvers to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Silver Ghost. The Phantom Silver’s bespoke paint color is Metallic Ghost Silver. The interior of the limited edition comes in rose leaf or crème light leather. The “RR” logo is embroidered into both the piping and the headrests.

Eco-friendly Santos Palisander rosewood is used throughout the cabin. The varied-grain rosewood also is used for a presentation box that holds the key, two solid silver key fobs and a specially commissioned Conway Stewart fountain pen. The LCD screen for the navigational system is strategically concealed behind the clock in the dashboard to preserve the car’s classic decorum.

Beneath the hood of this refined vehicle is a fuel-injected V-12 engine with 48 valves that accelerates from zero to 60 mph in 5.7 seconds. Its top speed is 149 mph. The sedan has a maintenance-free six-speed transmission and speed-sensitive rack-and-pinion steering. The Phantom Silver sets on 21-inch alloy wheels with chrome centers. The Spirit of Ecstasy, which has been the automakers traditional grille ornament since 1911, is solid silver. It is retractable for security purposes.

Rolls-Royce produced automobiles and aero engines until 1971. Bleak financial circumstances forced the firm into receivership and the divisions became separate companies. The BMW Group has been the owner of the Rolls-Royce line since 1998. While many other brands have strived and risen to attain recognition, Rolls-Royce Motor Company possessed such panache from its inception.
